News appoints Damian Eales as group marketing director, replacing Corin Dimopoulos
News Corp Australia has announced the departure of group marketing director Corin Dimopoulos.
He will be replaced by former Westpac marketer Damian Eales who joined the company in February.
The departure of Dimopoulos is the first major leadership change since new CEO Julian Clarke took the reins at News a month ago.
“I’d like to thank Corin for all the great work he has done leading the company’s group marketing function,” said Julian Clarke in a statement.
Corin is very talented and has superior strategic vision – it’s News’ loss and any company needing strong marketing stewardship would be wise to snap him up
Corin is one of the smartest guys in marketing, and was genuinely doing great things for the News brands. Very strange decision…
WOw, Corin is a loss.
Does that have a News Life Media axe all over it?
Sorry to see Corin go. A new world marketer if ever I worked with one. Any company would be lucky to have him.
Corin was a good marketer but didn’t want to work with editorial, advertising or the divisions. Damien will be a far better team player.
