Dancing with the Stars finale gets 883,000 viewers but it’s not enough to give Seven a win
The grand finale of Dancing With the Stars aired last night with TV and radio presenter Emma Freedman taking out the mirror ball trophy.
As with the rest of the series the finale was well down on lat year’s numbers with 883,000 tuning in last night, down from the 1.063m who watched last year. In 2013 the finale had nearly 1.4m viewers and won the night.
Last night it was relegated to eighth place overall and did not make the top five of any of the demographics which were all topped by the second episode of Nine’s The Block which attracted 932,000 and was the highest rating entertainment show of the night.

That’s a really disappointing number for the DWTS final.
The content of the show was fantastic and really entertaining but Shane Bourne made it project older and almost daggy.
Will he be back for 2016 ?
I’ve watched every season until this year – Shane Bourne was awful and each year the definition of a ‘celebrity’ gets weaker and more blurry.
Shane Bourne should be confirmed for the 2016 season of DWTS – as a dancer.
