Day five of The Ashes pushes Nine’s Gem to a 17% audience share
Nine’s multi-channel 9Gem jumped to a 17% audience share on Monday night, pushing well past Ten’s 12.5% and ABC’s 11.2%, and almost toppling Seven which held 17.6%. The channel also beat Nine’s primary channel which held an audience share of 16.2%.
760,000 metro viewers tuned in for the first session of The Ashes day five, 599,000 for the lunch wrap-up and 592,000 for session two, driving Nine to an overall network audience share of 37.8%.
Cricket sponsors – REA, Maccas, Welman – would do well to think about their audience a bit more. It’s a five day match, shoot some more spots and rotate your copy please! I’m going mad watching the same ads over and over again, not a brilliant brand experience.
I was thinking the same. What every happened to frequency capping?
