Death in Paradise tops Friday night TV with 404,000 metro viewers
A repeat episode of British-French drama series Death in Paradise was the best performing non-news or current affairs program on Friday night.
The episode, airing on ABC at 7:30pm, pulled 404,000 metro viewers, and came in behind Seven News (722,000), Seven News’ 6:30pm slot (716,000), Nine News (684,000), Nine News’ 6:30pm slot (662,000), ABC News (525,000) and A Current Affair (513,000).

This could indicate a number of things, but one of them may be that audiences are tiring (at long last) of so-called “Reality TV” and lame, half-arsed panel shows, and heading back to good theatrical productions.
Death in Paradise is at the low end of that example, but at least it is produced with purpose and integrity.
