iPad app Wilderquest wins top honours at AIMIA Awards

National Parks iPad appDigital agency Deepend and app developer Nomad won top honours at digital industry awards AIMIA tonight with an iPad app Wilderquest for the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.

The app, designed to combat ‘nature deficit disorder’ among kids, prompted 11,000 downloads in a month, and the Department of Education is considering using the app in schools.

The app enabled kids to replicate the real national park through a virtual 3D rainforest.
