Dentsu Aegis Network restructures finance department
The Australian operations of the Dentsu Aegis Network, which boasts media, creative and digital agencies in Australia including Carat, Mitchells, Oddfellows and Isobar, is to restructure its finance department the company has confirmed today.
It is understood the changes will be centred on the finance team, which consists of around 60 people, and come as part of a global efficiency review, which will be completed by the end of quarter one of 2015.
“Dentsu Aegis Network is currently undertaking a global review of our financial operations, including in Australia,” said Kym Pfitzner, COO, Dentsu Aegis Network in a statement.
“Our global vision is to ensure we have a commercially and strategically focused finance team in all markets, able to support our company’s ability to be agile and to deliver to both local and global clients.”
Exciting news
Not that exciting for June in accounts who just received a gold watch for twenty years service, has sacrificed a career by only learning Mitchells and Aegis systems and from March will be replaced by a guy in Mumbai on $4 an hour at Dentsu Aegis HQ.
I seem to recall a speech by Luke Littlefield when Aegis was sold to Dentsu saying that this would never happen.

My money is on Isobar creative and production staff getting the bullet next. There is already a centralised Indian operation here and if Aegis follow the same pattern – creative has got to be a long hanging apple.
