Aegis Media and Dentsu have consummated their merger officially rebadging as Dentsu Aegis Network and naming Nick Waters as CEO for the Asia Pacific region for the restructured entity, which sees all of the agency brands answer to one profit and loss sheet in every country.

In Australia Luke Littlefield will be CEO of the Dentsu Aegis Network, which sees the Dentsu creative agency which recently merged with Oddfellows, fall under his overall control for the first time and sit alongside brands including Carat, Vizeum, Isobar, Posterscope and Iprospect. In Australia the Mitchell & Partners also falls under his remit.

The company has not commented on the likelihood of redundancies to be made from the two companies, which employ 22,000 people globally.

Waters, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific said in a press release: “With our brand and leadership structures confirmed we have the opportunity to develop the Dentsu Aegis Network, and our client base, by delivering a wider range of distinctive products and services across the region.

“The new Dentsu Aegis Network has a unique position in the market, and with this brings the opportunity to grow our clients’ businesses with our own.”
