Corporate brand communications company Designate Group has promoted Renee Carter to the role of managing director as former MD Trever Benson focuses on his director role.

The announcement:

Designate Group, Australia’s leading corporate brand and communications company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Renee Carter as its new Managing Director.

With over 15 years at Designate developing corporate communications for Australia’s top brands, Renee has helped spearhead the growth of the Group to achieve a substantial client base and market share of ASX listed companies.

Renee has strong industry relationships and is highly regarded as an industry expert, having represented organisations such as Australasian Reporting Awards (for 7 years), e.com Report Watch, Benchmark Reports and the Governance Institute of Australia.

Renee said “My vision is to inspire companies to tell their story effectively and in the process advance the standard of communications and branding. Driving the importance of effective communications will ensure best practice reporting is optimized across the corporate landscape of Australia’s top ASX listed companies”.

Renee will replace Trevor Benson in the role, who has been CEO since Designate’s inception in 1992. Trevor will continue to be actively involved as a Director of the Group, but will now focus on new and innovative business opportunities for the Group.

One of Renee’s first endeavours as Managing Director will be to participate in the exciting CEO CookOff on 17 February 2014, a joint initiative between Ozharvest and Qantas. The event will bring together celebrity Chefs and CEOs and aims to put the spotlight on the issue of food security and the challenges faced by youth in crisis and Indigenous communities, whilst raising much needed funds for OzHarvest.
