Doctor Blake Mysteries star Craig McLachlan accused of indecent assault and sexual harassment
Craig McLachlan, lead actor on popular television series The Doctor Blake Mysteries, indecently assaulted, sexually harassed and bullied female co-stars, an ongoing joint investigation by Fairfax Media and ABC has alleged.
McLachlan is the second high-profile local media personality to be accused of indecent behaviour in two months after veteran journalist Tracey Spicer launched an investigation into the Australian media industry. In late November, Don Burke was accused of sexually harassing a string of female colleagues throughout his career.
I’ve got no idea whether these allegations are true or not but it is shameful the way Mumbrella writes something like…..
In 2016, McLachlan was also caught in an awkward encounter with Miranda Tapsell on stage at the 2016 TV Week Logie Awards.
….and when you actually watch that video, there is NOTHING untoward at all about McLachlan’s behaviour in that video.
The only thing “awkward” about it is that it is, just like every other “comedy” skit at the Logies, awkward for the fact that at least one of the presenters cannot sell the skit.
Come on Mumbrella, lift your game. You are sinking closer and closer to New Idea territory lately.
I concur
Yes it was awkward. Simply because of the horrific scripting that they had toe read and pretend they were ad-libbing, and nothing to do with the story.
Channel 7 should cancel Doctor Blake if Craig McLachlan doesn’t leave the show. I’m not surprised ABC TV cancelled this show with this Mr McLachlan in the lead role.
I was just wondering whatever happened to the Aussie way ‘innocent till proven guilty’ or is this just another ‘follow the American thing’?
