Domino’s investigates data leak after customers get spam emails
Pizza chain Domino’s is investigating a series of spam emails which have been sent to a number of its customers, believed to have been a product of a security breach with a former supplier.
According to a Reddit Australia forum, the emailers know customers’ names, email addresses and location.
This is how NOT to handle the situation and say “not a problem”…….sure you have to acknowledge the incident but Turn it around, send out your own Email thanking Clients for their support, offering a bonus and telling them why you are still the best.
Dry “legal advice” communication is not the way to instill and retain Brand loyalty!
I received those emails too! I did wonder why they asked me if I lived in a nearby suburb – where the pizza joint is.
It’s in point of fact a nice and useful piece of information. I’m glad that you just
shared this helpful information with us. Please keep us up to date like
this. Thanks for sharing.
