Don’t watch the ads, relegated Outsiders host tells viewers
Dr Mumbo is sad to learn that his favourite current affairs show for right wing crackpots, Outsiders, has been demoted by Sky News to the graveyard slot start time of 11pm.
Presenters Ross Cameron and Rowan Dean shared the news with their viewers on Sunday morning, and attempted to put a brave face on it.
Cameron confessed: “We do want to say to our beloved audience, we do feel an emotional tug at moving on the Monday night and indeed on the Thursday night to 11pm – from 8pm, which many would say is a more congenial time – but the universal rule in television is when the network offers you more time you take it.”
Somewhat unconvincingly, Dean added: “I’m a night owl. I can’t wait.”

In this case even Harvey Norman ads are better than this show.
I always tape Outsiders but I fast forward through the show and watch the ads.
I skip all ads on Foxtel – it’s piss poor value, especially as I pay and they run more ads than content on most channels! Thx for reminding me – cancelling subscription this week 🙂
This is the most intelligent thing that The Outsiders have ever said. I’ve looked and the amount of Foxtel viewing that is done via catch up – far exceeds FTA – meaning most people are not watching the ads anyway.
The Outsiders are gold.

I just download the podcast, whoever edits that cuts all the ads out already for you. Love the show hope it keeps going though not looking like a great long term prospect with the time shift

Clever move by Sky – daylight saving means the show is on at 10pm in Qld which suits its ideal target audience (retirees who can’t stay awake late) and it was already really, really early timing for oldies in WA.

I am sorry to see there Outsiders moved to 11pm on Sky. It is such a refreshing change from the left wing biased opinions broadcast by the ABC.

Ross Cameron is highly intelligent and well read, which is a little too dangerous for leftists so they try and lampoon him as a fool.
He’s also very funny, and Outsiders is making a huge impact, people are noticing the breath of fresh air from the usual inane dribble of the press.
I love “Outsiders” , Thank you both for making it happen ! , I have lived in Sans Souci for 69years , high/low tides have not changed an inch in those 69years , where I was told I would be treading water by now , to end this endless debate (it worries me that people do it to keep themselves employed) would somebody please go to one of these island nations that are asking for money as yhey are about to tread water , talk to the locals , who will say the same as I said about Sans Souci , Please stop the bullshit .

I love it when all the non-advertising and marketing people stumble across this blog and feel the need to comment, as if the decision makers to their trivial lives will be reading what they have to type.

Now, a non-sequitur. There is no connection between the previous observation and what now follows.
One has to be alarmed, indeed distressed, that, according to the pristine, irrefutable and stellar performing Mumbrella (spawn of the genius, ever self-effacing Mr Tim), The Project, some nights, sadly, gets no fewer than 200,000 viewers.
