Droga5’s David Nobay confirms departure from Recipe to Riches

Droga5’s creative partner David “Nobby” Nobay will not be returning as a judge on the renewed season of Recipe To Riches, leaving the door open for Leo Burnett boss Todd Sampson to replace him.

The move follows Woolworths’ surprise announcement it is shifting its main creative account duties from Droga5 to Leo Burnett last month, while Ten confirmed the reality TV show, which is effectively branded content paid for by the supermarket, would come back for a second season this week.

A Ten spokesperson told Mumbrella: “We are finalising the panel of experts for the second season of Recipe To Riches. Unfortunately, David Nobay was not available due to other commitments and has withdrawn from the show. David did a great job as one of our experts last year.

“The first season of Recipe To Riches built strong engagement with viewers and generated strong sales for Woolworths. We’re excited to be bringing it back later this year.”
