Dust storm drives morning TV ratings

Wednesday’s Sydney dust storm paid dividends for morning TV shows as viewers turned on to find out why they were waking up to a red glow.  

Across all three commercial networks, viewing figures were up throughout the morning, according to preliminary TV ratings from OzTam.

Seven: Early Sunrise was up by 7.7% on Tuesday, to 268,000. Sunrise rose by 24.1% to 464,000. And The Morning Show was up by 40.9% to 293,000.

Nine: Early Today was up by 3.5% to 208,000. Today was up 12.9% to 411,000. And Mornings with Kerri-Anne was up by 67.7% to 161,000.
