It is time that Dr Mumbo draws your attention to a significant new artist.

This anonymous person – who Dr Mumbo has reason to believe works at DDB in Sydney – has a Facebook page as Drawings By A Writer.

As you’ll see, he or she has a unique style.

So Dr Mumbo challenged DBAW to draw DDB’s ECD Dylan Harrison.

Standing on a VW.

Clutching a Big Mac.

Happily DBAW did not dissappoint.

DBAW says of the Dylan sketch: “As always his hair looks amazing.” Indeed it does. As always.

Dr Mumbo came up with an even tougher challenge – media agency titan Harold Mitchell.

Again. The result is highly impressive.

And DBAW was even kind enough to send a picture of Mumbrella editor Tim Burrowes.

Dr Mumbo is hopeful that, should readers suggest other industry folk in the comment thread below, Drawings By A Writer might just be tempted to give them a shot.
