Eclectic Music launches as Sandcastle catches Elefant
Two new music options are available to film, television and TVC productions.
Eclectic, a new music production company especialised in advertising and film, launched this week, while the more established Sandcastle Music has won the publishing rights to hip-hop/electronica label Elefant Tracks.
Eclectic is the collaboration of Matt Hayward and Alex Gomez, and according to Gomez, their aim is to collaborate with musicians, bands, composers, record labels, producers and marketers to provide advertising and film clients with “a fresh approach”. The company opened its studio at Jones Bay Wharf, and currently represents composer Tom Schutzinger (Lucky Country, Somersault) and Luke McAvenna (a sessions musician with Empire of the Sun).
Another film/television/advertising music company, Sandcastle Studios (Wog Boy 2, Red Hill, Tangle), has also seen its publishing, recording and licensing arm Sandcastle Music (Accidents Happen) finalise a partnership with the independent record label Elefant Traks. They will publish Elefant’s catalogue and represent their recordings for film, TV and advertising.
Elefant Traks adds a catalogue of independent hip-hop, beats and electronica artists to Sandcastle’s content.
