The new names are disgusting and I can’t see how they represent the viewer. Ten Boss sounds like male dominator and peach will it just sounds aweful.

What a load of rubbish. Couldn’t they come up with decent names? They sound childish, can’t believe grown men could come up with names lile peach and boss!

I know they need to do something pretty bold, but this does not sound like a good idea at all… hopefully the upfront will make it sound less awful

If they just continue to run endless repeats then nothing will change and TV audiences will just continue to be treated with contempt. So much choice and nothing fresh to watch.

People go to uni and get paid to come up with TV channel names like that? You don’t need to spend money on research to work out this will be a big fail. How long till they are subsequently willing to change it to something better? Nothing wrong with keeping the meaningful current names, do a relaunch and changing the content.

I suppose Ten Eyewitness News, a brand that Has grown with many Australians, will be changed to Ten, News First!!!

Dumb and dumber running Ten at the moment and I’ll guarantee CBS had nothing to do with it.

I quite like the names. They’re distinctive and bold in a market with weak content and even worse channel names.

Having said that, I’ll never actually see the products or the content. Since Netflix and Stan came into my life I have no idea what free-tv is like these days.

I can only imagine Ten Boss will have shows like The Apprentice, Mash, Fishing and 4X4 driving shows.

Ten Peach will have dumbed down sitcoms like roseanne and stupid reality TV shows.

I have an idea, why don’t they just get rid of 10 altogether, and relaunch as ‘Channel 4’, which is their current position in the ratings. They will be in 4th place behind ABC, 9 and 7 for the foreseeable future and I can’t see this changing with rubbish content.

Awful names and a pointless change if the (awful) content stays the same.
Where’s CBS? And the first thing they need to do is sort out the main channel programming in the hope it can actually attract a few more viewers.
They might also consider why 10 News is pulling in about half the numbers it was getting 10 or 15 years ago.

I know they’ve tried sport and it didn’t work because it’s too expensive to buy the best sports but why don’t they rebrand one of their multichannels to 24/7 movies? If they only had ads between movies it would be a good alternative to streaming/pay tv.

People make so many assumptions about the processes and inner workings of rebranding, it’s insane. Have any of you actually worked on a rebrand? Do you know what content is going to be on each station? You’re all making incredible assumptions based on not a whole lot by the sounds.

Isn’t that exactly what 7flix’s concept was supposed to be?

The current names are purposely meaningless. “One” and “Eleven” are numbers without any notable associated meaning.

In contrast, “Boss” and “Peach” (if the real names), do have meaning. They are more suitable for multi-platform brands targeting specific groups of people.

Yep, I’ve worked on rebrands of TV stations and digital platforms and know exactly how these names are developed, by swinging dicks in a boardroom.

It’s not childish but it is terribly out of taste with the audience. Eleven has a lot of sitcoms and comedys and so I’ll continue to see it like that. Eleven doesn’t have anything decent and new. I haven’t really watched One but I think that’s all about sports (so it could have been called 10 Sports).

The naming is important. Something that was once neutral is now opinionated.

I do agree about the programming though! I was excited to see CBS buying Ten because I was thinking we would see CBS shows. I was so wrong.

Your argument would hold some weight if they also renamed Ten. They probably think it would have some sort of brand loyalty though. They must be delusional or seriously out of touch with its audience. The people who watch The Bachelor are more likely to identify CBS. In fact, I think people of all ages would identify CBS more.

The new names don’t even fit with what the channel actually is which is the whole argument. From unopinionated to opinionated. Surely they would be careful there, right? 10 Sports and 10 Comedy would’ve been a nicer fit IMO

Since the rebranding to 10 Peach i have not been able to activate subtitles during the program “This is us”. Other people i know who also need subtitles to be able to enjoy this program are experiencing the same problem. Can you rectify this? We live around Jervis Bay.

I can’t get Peach or Boss on my TV and don’t know why. Annoying. I used to be able to get Ch 82 before the earlier channel changes but now all the menu says is ‘no channel’ AND I want to watch the new Supernatural. aaaarrrgh!!

Whoever you paid and however much you paid them, you got done. For a start, 10 Boss you originally had was already taken and they didnt know that. Instead they exposed you to big legal action. How come 10 peach doesn’t play the shows it’s listed to play I was waiting for the listed 9.30 movie called friends with kids to come on at 9.30 as listed and instead there’s some shit thing on??? God even knows what it’s called. Crap.
