Encore announces nominees for inaugural Awards

Encore magazine has announced the nominees for its inaugural Awards program, to be presented next Tuesday in Sydney.

The Encore Awards have been conceived to recognise the work of screen industry companies, rather than specific projects or individuals.

This year, the team behind Encore has selected the finalists based on their performance, achievements and strategies. Starting in 2011, the magazine will announce a call for entries, to ensure that every company has the chance to participate. Encore will also form a judging panel representing different sectors of the screen industry and chaired by one of its top practitioners.

The Awards will be presented in Sydney next Tuesday, following Encore‘s first Question Time event.
