Fairfax unveils 160 new and revamped websites for regional audiences

Fairfax Media has unveiled a total of 160 relaunched and newly-created regional and suburban websites featuring local news, events and information.

Each website features a local news hub and noticeboards to allow people to promote local community activities for free.

While the sites, which are supported by local Fairfax newspapers, primarily focus on local news and information, they also carry regional, national, international, lifestyle and sports news.

Some of the sites for communities around the country include The Border Mail, Illawarra Mercury, Yass Tribune, The Rural, The North West Star, The Islander, The Advocate, Bendigo Advertiser, Mandurah Mail and Avon Valley Advocate.
