FasterLouder gets new editor and new look

Online music news company Sound Alliance has appointed Darren Levin to editor in chief of FasterLouder. Levin moves across from the company’s indie music site Mess+Noise. He is also a contributor to The Age and Rolling Stone. The site has also undergone a relaunch with a new design.

The announcement:FasterLouder, one of Australia’s biggest music websites, has re-launched with a fresh new design and editorial direction aimed to bring a critical, respected and influential voice back to Australian music journalism.

The new look FasterLouder sees former Mess+Noise editor and regular contributor for The Age and Rolling Stone Darren Levin join the ranks in the newly created role of Editor-in-Chief.

“We’ve been searching for Australia’s best music editor for this role, and we kept coming back to Darren,” said Tim Duggan, Sound Alliance Content Director. “FasterLouder is about to enter an exciting next stage as Australia’s leading online music authority, and Darren’s the perfect choice to lead it all the way.”
