Fear & Greed announce bike riding fundraiser for Royal Far West
Business podcast Fear & Greed is going to be raising money for charity Royal Far West via a remote Australia bike ride.
The announcement:
In May, to celebrate our fifth birthday, Fear + Greed is going on the road, raising money for a great charity, Royal Far West, which this year celebrates its 100th birthday.
Royal Far West makes a difference in the lives of some of our most vulnerable kids’ lives every day, supporting their developmental, mental, and behavioural health so they can get on and stay on track.
Adam Lang and I are riding 380 kilometres through western NSW, from Bourke to Cobar to Nyngan and then Dubbo, to raise funds to improve life options for kids from rural communities.
Someone has to stay in the studio to make sure we actually produce a show every day, and Michael Thompson put his hand up (quickly) for that job. So it will be a tag team podcast – two of us are in remote Australia, and the other is in the city.
Neither Adam nor I are bike riders so it’s a big challenge. This is my first time seriously trying to give back to the community, and I’d love any support you can give.
The ride takes place on Thursday, 15 May, and we ask for your support to help raise $50,000. This is an altruistic endeavour, though if you donate, we will be forever thankful and promise to mention you on the show!
