Film about a man who turns into a puffer fish seeks sponsor
A short film about a man who turns into a puffer fish is looking for a sponsor with a view to the film becoming a series.
Directed by Ben West, who comes from a visual effects background, the film follows the fortunes of a Japanese salaryman who turns into a puffer fish after eating a live one in a restaurant.
West’s production company @Radicalmedia, is shopping around for a distributor and considering looking for a sponsorship tie-up.
The music and sound design for Fugu & Tako was produced by the sound guns over at Smith & Western Sound.
“It’s a film with edge, and is probably not for mainstream audiences.”
Normally this is followed up by a frustrated diatribe with multiple uses of the term ‘sheeple’.

Its pretty simple Seriously, its a fringe production they are looking for support and Mumbrella are offering a little support via an informative article. Have you just become accustomed to the massive Hollywood Studio ad campaign that assaults your senses on every level?

What if he can’t get the polite Japanese to acknowledge his deformity.
And are his testicles like his head? How about when he farts his head swells.
Does he eat straight from the tank at restaurants.Is he real good at blowing up balloons? What do cats think of him? Do aliens want him back? Go Ben go!
Perhaps this is more of an Encore story than Mumbrella?
It would be great for there to be a regular platform available for industry film makers to have their films and scripts available for brands to review online. Beats flocking to MIPCOM (and the like) and being overlooked once again, year on year.
