Film maker in cuttlefish stunt at studio opening
Documentary film maker Dan Monceaux interrupted the opening ceremony of South Australian Film Corporation’s new Adelaide studios facility in a stunt to promote his film.
Monceaux produced a fish-shaped pinata and invited outgoing premier Mike Rann to hit it with a rolled up newspaper in a reference to a previous attack on the politician.
In a press release Monceaux described the stunt as “a cunningly crafted surprise protest”. He also claimed the stunt was “”in a style comparable to that of famous political satirists from The Chaser”.
If he reckons he can make a quid & save the planet improving the genre – good luck to him – certainly got a green growth audience waiting – maybe if were lucky we can convince some radical DC to make one about us (screenwriters commercial film sector) – how we admit less carbon emisions than comparable forms of entertainment?
