Fires take out radio and TV transmission in regional Victoria

A transmission site at Mount Alexander in regional Victoria was damaged by fires on Friday, resulting in all radio networks and television services in the Bendigo region being knocked off the air.
All free-to-air television broadcasts, plus the majority of radio stations, have been off air since 9 January.
Mumbrella understands that Broadcast Australia’s [BA] infrastructure took the brunt of the damage, which has impacted all national radio networks in the region, including ABC Radio’s emergency broadcast services. Southern Cross Austereo’s Hit 91.9 and Triple M stations are also currently off-air.
When will free-to-air TV (incl ABC) come back online? Us older folk in the country really rely on it. Hope all will stay safe. Thank you.
When will the tv station be back on
Could only get 23 DTV in my tv which gave me Ballarat for a minute. How do l get Ballarat or Shepparton channels until Bendigo is restored?
I find ut hard to believe in this modern age we do not have maybe an underground network set up instead if vulnerable high wire stuff in a very active fire danger area. We rely a lot in nightly News to stay in touch with what is going on locally and internationally. How are we to stay in touch. We don’t ecmven get comments in the Herakd Sun as to the situation and possible outcome.
So much for living regionally
