First Dog on the Moon to contribute to The Monthly

First Dog on the Moon will produce an exclusive series for the Monthly.
Political cartoonist First Dog on The Moon will appear in The Monthly magazine from next month in a regular column.
A new cartoon, The Rum Corps, has been developed for the Monthly and will appear exclusively in the print edition. Subtitled “Exciting adventures in police corruption”, each month of The Rum Corps will feature a different historical episode of Australian police corruption.
First Dog is the work of cartoonist Andrew Marlton. He was best known as a daily cartoonist for email newsletter Crikey, but was poached by The Guardian in March.
I don’t understand First Dog – is it supposed to be funny?
I don’t understand First Dog either. Usually unfunny and not telling me anything I don’t already know.
Adding cartoons (even if it is only one) is a big positive for The Monthly. Excellent news.
Any word on Crikey’s numbers post Dog?
Suspect they’re not good.
