Floods drive TV audiences

Nine picked up a comprehensive TV ratings win on Thursday night, in an evening that saw breakaway schedules in Brisbane to cover the Queensland floods.  

The preliminary ratings from OzTam will probably alter as a result of the changes, but at the time of writing the top TV shows for Thursday night were:

1. Seven News – Seven 1.6m
2. Today Tonight – Seven 1.5m
3. Getaway – Nine 1.4m
4. 20 to 1 – Nine 1.3m
5. Nine News – Nine 1.2m
6. MasterChef – Ten 1.1m
7. A Current Affair – Nine 1.1m
8. Two and a Half Men – Nine 1.1m
9. Grey’s Anatomy – Seven 1.1m
10. Ghost Whisperer – Seven 1.1m

Thursday night’s share: Nine 30.1%; Seven 26.9%; Ten 20.8%; ABC 17.3%; SBS 4.9%
