Fox moves to digital publicity delivery

Twentieth Century Fox has signed up with D-Star Media to digitally deliver its publicity EPK and trailer content to Australian media.

The distributor joins Paramount Pictures and Icon Film as the first local distributors choosing digital distribution of materials to traditional broadcasters and online content producers.

D-Star Media is a division of The Shooting Star Picture Company, launched in 2005 to service the music industry. It started servicing the film industry earlier this year, signing up Paramount Pictures in March.

Managing Director Peter Skillman told Encore that the aim was to turn this mode of delivery into the industry standard.
