Foxtel content director Wendy Moore to step down after six years

Foxtel’s executive director of entertainment content and channels Wendy Moore will be stepping down from the role, after more than six years at the company.
Hilary Perchard, CEO of Foxtel, Kayo, and Binge, informed staff of Moore’s decision, in an email seen by Mumbrella.
Moore is leaving to “start a new venture” and will remain in the role until the end of the year, to “provide a smooth transition, ensure the team is well-supported through change and allow enough time to put the groundwork in place for the next chapter.” She will also continue on as co-host of Selling Houses Australia, a show that she joined in 2021.
Perchard said a local and international search is already underway for her replacement. “We are looking for someone who shares Wendy’s passion for entertainment and lifestyle, her dedication to people, and commitment to delivering the very best for our audiences,” Perchard wrote. “For now, it remains BAU until we appoint the replacement.”
Moore started at Foxtel Group in 2019, as general manager of the Lifestyle channels. In 2023, she was tasked with overseeing all of Foxtel’s in-house channels, including content operations.
In February, when Alison Hurbert-Burns, longtime commissioner and executive director of content, left the company, Moore assumed responsibility for producing Foxtel’s suite of scripted and unscripted originals.
“Wendy’s ability to balance creativity with strategic execution has been a hallmark of her leadership, and her contributions have set new benchmarks for excellence across our business and world-class productions,” Perchard said.
Moore called her time at Foxtel “an incredible experience, both personally and professionally,” in a quote provided to Mumbrella.
“I have loved my time at Foxtel and have been privileged to work with many talented people on many incredible productions and projects. Leaving was an incredibly difficult decision, but after six years, now is the right time in my life for a change to start a new business venture in an area that I am passionate about.
“I know the company and customers are in very safe hands with a passionate team of people who will continue to grow and push boundaries. I’m proud to be part of the Foxtel story and to have the opportunity to continue my contribution as part of Selling Houses Australia.”
