Foxtel to fast-track Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds doco

Foxtel is to fast-track HBO documentary Bright Lights which covers the lives of actresses Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds who both died over the Christmas period.

The announcement:

In light of the recent and unexpected deaths of both Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, the HBO documentary Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds will premiere exclusively on Foxtel this Sunday January 8 at 12pm noon, broadcasting as the same time the documentary will be seen on the US east coast. It will be screened on Foxtel’s Showcase channel. There will be further broadcasts Sunday night, on the Foxtel ARTS Channel at 8.30pm, immediately following the International AACTA Awards (telecast at 7.30pm) and again at 9.30pm on the Showcase channel.

The story of a family’s complicated love, this documentary is an intimate portrait of Hollywood royalty in all its eccentricity. Carrie Fisher and her mother, Debbie Reynolds, live in the same Beverly Hills compound.
