Foxtel kicks off ad campaign for iQ3 with ‘making entertainment sexier’ line
Foxtel has kicked off its marketing campaign for the new iQ3 set top box which is set to be released in February.
Set to the tune ‘You Sexy Thing’ by Hot Chocolate, the ad , created in-house by Foxtel Creative, plays on the visual aesthetics of the device with the ad simply playing on the lines of the device with the text “making entertainment sexier”.
Foxtel executive director of sales and marketing Ed Smith told Mumbrella it is a “teaser campaign heralding the upcoming launch”, but refused to be drawn on the exact launch date adding: “We haven’t released dates yet, we’ve just said coming February. So at the moment we’ve just got the teaser campaign running.”
Must. Have. One.
lazy.
But will it stop shutting down every time there’s heavy rain about, as our current Austar box does?
It’s awesome. Count me in.
maybeif your long term customers were offered these as an upgrade they would be more appreciative of your Foxtel service which we are paying more for than people that signed up for Foxtel now!!!!!
The box will cost more per month than a Netflx subscription…no thanks ..
Can I still record to dvd recorder and have on satellite as we have abc and sbs at the moment free to air channels available on the new Iq3 I, ll have one on one condition its free installation to customers who had foxtel for over 15 years and stop signal loss when it rains
Expensive.Outdated. Rubbish.
I agree wholeheartedly with Lynne Adamson. I’m starting to find a lot of content that i can watch on the internet which is making me think harder about the value for money I’m getting now from Foxtel, considering also we are paying more than the new customers. Foxtel needs to give us an incentive to stay rather than take us for granted.
Without a Horror Channel its outdated garbage
Foxtel is a rip off. Alot of people will be cancelling due to Netflix coming this year.
The only reason I keep it is for the live sport. Everything you can get elsewhere.
$150 upgrade is a discrace. It should be free to stop people from cancelling all together.
How much is this going to cost us?? Also if using the interenet is anything like the one you get now its rubbish I have had somebody from Foxtel come and ;look at mine as its still not working and was told it had to be something I was doing an d then he left. It still doesn’t work!!!! Not a v ery happy customer at all!!
