Mumbrella video hangout talks fact-checking

Mumbrella this afternoon hosted a live video hangout with the bosses of Australia’s three new fact checking services.

The guests included Peter Fray editor-in-chief of Politifact AustraliaElection FactCheck’s Gay Alcorn and the ABC fact checking unit presenter John Barron.

The hangout came only a day after PolitiFact Australia revealed a tie-up with Fairfax Media. The former publisher and editor-in-chief of The Sydney Morning Herald Peter Fray announced his new political fact-checking organisation PolitiFact Australia will partner with his former employer, ahead of the 2013 Federal Election.
