Freehand shops Sydney lesbian reality show Generation L

This actually looks really good. It doesn’t seem to be cliche, sensationalised or tacky. Rather, it looks like it’s about real people and real issues. What a refreshing change.

Hope to see this on air soon.

I hope people do not take this as a fair cross section of the community I belong to, because they do not represent me or any of my friends.

I think it would be an unrealistic situation to expect any “reality” tv show to accurately portray any cross section of a particular type of community.

I also agree this show looks quite interesting without all the teen nonsense you see in shows like The Hills and Freshwater Blue.

Its been done before. It’s called The Real L Word.

And as part of the Sydney Lez scene, these girls are a very small (and very active on the ‘scene’) representation of a much larger pool of ladies.

This looks great! The girls seem really quite down to earth and likeable, esp the starfish couple! Haha! I’ll certainly be tuning in to this show, i haven’t seen anything like this done in australia before…

Liz – what in fact is a “fair” crossection of the community you belong to?? I am part of this community too, and go out just like these girls on the Sydney Scene. They represent me (and my friends), and i’m proud to see them on our screens. It is impossible (and completely unrealistic) to have something for absolutely EVERYONE in one show. These girls are real, and deserve just as much airtime and opinion as anyone else.

Boring! No wonder no one took it on.

I think this is cool. It started slowly, but I too warmed to the characters and appreciated the approach of the producers. I am a straight male, and was glad to find this wasn’t just trying to be titillating. The girls seem genuine and that kept me watching.

Tara, the difference between Generation L and The Real L Word is that Generation L follows a group of friends that formed organically before the show began, whereas the Real L Word selected a cast of individuals
