George Negus to front Ten’s 6pm project

George Negus is to front Ten’s new national 6pm news when it goes to air early next year, the network has revealed.

Negus currently presents Dateline on SBS although he is also a regular guest on Ten’s the 7PM Project.

Negus, a 40 year media veteran, was one of the three original correspondents on Nine’s 60 Minutes and he is also a former host of The Today Show.

George tells it straight and will therefore be an asset to TEN.
My only concern is that most journalists have to have their teeth pulled to get on nowadays.
We have seen that on ABC24.
I can’t see George going down the ABC track.
