Getty Images announces photography competition ‘Grab’

Getty Images have launched a photography competition to find iconic Australian images  – the prize will include $5,000 worth of Nikon camera equipment.

Sydney, Australia, 26 August 2010 –Getty Images today announce “Grab” – an exciting competition in search of the most iconic Aussie images, giving everyday photographer enthusiasts the chance to shape the way we perceive life in modern Australia and win over $5,000 of Nikon pro camera equipment. Anyone with a camera and an imagination is invited to participate in this innovative search for the most authentic and true blue collection of Aussie images, whether it is a sunset over the beach, a weekend barbecue with mates, waking up in the outback, or a family trip to the footy. Since launching the Flickr Collection on Getty Images in March 2009, Getty Images has already licensed a range of images from Australian contributors that include everything from glimpses of everyday life to the special moments that make Australia such a unique place to live.
