Gizmodo Australia editor Luke Hopewell is joining Twitter as its Moments lead, responsible for the establishment and rollout of the feature locally.

Twitter’s Moments are a compiled list of important stories that are unfolding on Twitter, with separate sections for entertainment and sport.

Hopewell will oversee the appointment and training of an editorial curation team with the remit to utilise Moments to increase the reach of publishers’ content on Twitter.
