Glover and FitzSimons set radio interview world record
Richard Glover, ABC 702’s radio presenter, with author and journalist Peter FitzSimons have set new Guinness World Record for the longest one-on-one radio interview after 24 hours on air.

After 24 long hours, copious cups of tea and a conversation that has covered everything from Australian explorers, commercial radio, parenting, rugby, first kisses and red bandanas, 702 ABC Sydney’s Richard Glover and journalist and author Peter FitzSimons have set a new Guinness World Record for the longest one-on-one radio interview.
Glover had the easy job in this. All he had to do was start with one simple request: “Well, Peter, tell us a bit about yourself.” Twenty-four hours later FitzSimons, who can talk underwater with a mouthful of marbles, would still be going, even 24 days later if given the chance. The word for this is “onanism” – in this case, mutual onanism.
