Gogglebox continues to deliver for Ten; Seven takes Thursday

Ten’s Gogglebox took the entertainment crown on Thursday night, however, it was Seven that claimed the overall network share win.

Gogglebox aired to 493,000 metro viewers, and 703,000 viewers nationally, while also winning all three key advertising demographics.

 

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 20 October, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.323 million viewers, including 34,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%. The Handmaid’s Tale on SBS had the biggest uplift of 412% and was viewed by a total audience of 527,000, and 252,000 on BVOD.

Next in Thursday’s overnights, The Chase on Seven was next in entertainment, drawing in 430,000 metro viewers, while Home and Away on Seven pulled in 428,000 viewers.

Nine’s RBT had 402,000 metro viewers tuning in, followed by the network’s Paramedics with 397,000 viewers.
Kath & Kim on Seven was viewers by a metro audience of 247,000.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Thursday with 820,000 metro viewers followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 804,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 aired to 701,000, and Nine News brought in 694,000. Next was ABC News which pulled in 558,000 viewers, while A Current Affair brought in 554,000.

In terms of overall share, Seven took the top spot with 28.6% just pipping Nine’s 28.4%, followed by Ten’s 18.1%, and ABC with a 16.3% share.

Nine secured the top primary channel share with 20.6% while Seven followed with 19.1%. The top-rating multi-channel on Thursday was 7TWO with a share of 4.8%.
