Gone Girl continues to dominate weekend box office

Gone Girl has continued to dominate the Australian box office in its second weekend, taking in $4.102m across 410 screens, taking its total Aussie box office to $11.469m.

Horror movie Annabelle moved into second place, however did not even rival Gone Girl after taking in $1.245m across 167 screens.

The film, which tells the story of a couple who begin to experience terrifying supernatural occurrences involving a vintage doll shortly after their home is invaded by satanic cultists, has made $3.963m in Australia since opening earlier this month.
