Gregory Commercial Furniture’s ass-kissing chair teaser
Gregory Commercial Furniture Australia has launched a teaser campaign for its new office chair.
The ad, which targets interior designers and architects, will run in Indesign magazine and draws the reader to the website, www.getyourasskissed.com.
Gregory Commercial Furniture Australia marketing manager Maree Draper, said: “I believe the campaign will give our industry another perspective to view our products other than purely aesthetics. We wanted an emotional involvement from our customers and I believe this campaign cuts to the essence of what we are about.”

Where are the products to view. I don’t even know what your selling. I also don’t know what I’m going to be Getting as an ‘ass kissing prize’
The word is ‘arse’, not ‘ass’. Arse is a perfectly good Anglo-Saxon word dating back at least a thousand years. Why do we need these coy Americanisms? Of course, if there’s a donkey involved in this campaign, please ignore all I’ve said!
It’s spelt “arse”, you arses.
As “ass kisser” is someone who kisses a donkey. And there are laws against that.
Has the copywriter and his/ her boss no idea about language differences between Australia and the US?
I’m not sure if this is just dumb, or seriously tragic.

And Daniel Barret – done great work for Telstra, Toyota, Tooheys, Cadbury, Imperial Tobacco, – some iconic Aussie brands under your belt… why “ass”?. (also you need to fix the american spelling on your website too)
