Griff sells North American rights to Indomina
New distributor Indomina Releasing has acquired all North American rights to Leon Ford’s debut feature Griff the Invisible.
“This is a funny and moving film that will appeal to a wide audience across North America,” said Winnie Lau, CEO of the film’s sales agent Fortissimo Films.
“Both the Fortissimo team and filmmakers are confident the film is in great hands with such innovative distributor as Indomina and audiences across America will all now have the chance to see a film
we are all proud to be involved with,” added Lau.
According to Indomina Group CEO Singh Mann, lead actor Ryan Kwanten’s fans “packed” the film’s screenings at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Griff the Invisible was produced by Nicole O’Donohue, with executive producers Jan Chapman and Scott Meek. it is the story of Griff, a shy man who is a fearless superhero by night, whose world is turned upside down when he meets a woman who shares his passion for the impossible.
The film – which was financed by Screen Australia, Screen NSW and FSM – will be released in Australia by Paramount/Transmission in 2011.
