Gruen again delivers for ABC as Farmer Wants A Wife helps Nine to win
Seven had some of the biggest shows but Nine won the ratings night on Wednesday as ABC1’s impact faded slightly on the previous week.
Nine’s win, which saw the channel pull in a 26.4% share, was powered by The Farmer Wants A Wife, which pulled in just over 1.3m, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.
Meanwhile, World’s Strictest Parents, which averaged nearly 1.4m was Seven’s best performer.
Gruen Nation, offering an adland insight into the election, was again a strong performer for the ABC averaging 1.5m viewers, slightly down on last week when it led ABC1 to the top three slots. Spicks and Specks and The Chaser’s Yes We Canberra both faded slightly on last week.
Again both 7 and 9 dish out crap tv and we watch……doh.
That’s a VERY impressive result for the ABC, and not just for the show itself but that so many Australians are tuning in for it.
All the same, when the margin between the innovative and ‘makes you think’ TV of Gruen Nation and crap like “World’s Strictest Parents” and “The Farmer Wants A Wife” is just 200,000 viewers, it makes you wonder…
