Gruen returns to television with 903,000 viewers, beats The Bachelor’s second last episode
ABC’s panel show Gruen returned to television last night with 903,000 metro viewers, down on last years debut of 954,000, as The Block won the evening for Nine.
Gruen was the sixth most watched show for the evening and was the third most watched program for key advertising demographics 18-49 and 25-54, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.
Ahead of Gruen’s season premiere last night, Mumbrella conducted an interview with host Wil Anderson.
How very ‘PWC’ Mr Howcroft was going against the grain to the criticism from the other panel members regarding the NBN. Future Government revenue is mightier than the sword in the consultancy game.
Reasonably watchable, although Gruen is suffering from that syndrome where success leads to panel know-it-all smugness.
The studio audience is truly awful to watch. Their obedient, gushing, frenzied clapping every time Wil Anderson opens his mouth is like watching trained seals, or Mr. Kim’s Pyongyang rent-a-crowd. Eugh.
