Gruen Transfer becomes Gruen Nation for election specials
The ABC’s advertising insights show The Gruen Transfer will rebrand as Gruen Nation for a series of specials once the federal election is called.
The announcement:
ABC TV today announced GRUEN NATION, a series of extra-length, extra strength specials, to be broadcast during the upcoming federal election, from the makers of the hit show about advertising, The Gruen Transfer.
Hosted by Wil Anderson, and featuring Gruen regulars Todd Sampson and Russel Howcroft, GRUEN NATION will ‘run an ‘X-Ray over the federal election’ – its advertising and all the other tricks political parties use to get their message out – in a series of 45 minute specials.
Hmmm, should be interesting given the obvious political leanings of Wil Anderson. Methinks it will be a show bagging out the Coalition, with Russell chipping in saying something is effective, than Wil bagging Russell out for being “old” and everyone laughing.
But a good idea nonetheless.
I’m pretty sure that Wil and co will be giving it hard to both major parties during the election. Even if he does have leaning away from the coalition I’m sure that Julia and crew will be not be spared at all – especially if they do something stupid, and you just know that that’s going to happen at least once – on both sides!
I thought Wil was a country party voter?
Please. Todd helping to “dissect bunkum”? That’s like Kyle Sanderlands spruiking a charm school, and about as believable.
