Guardian Australia to boost state coverage following Google deal

Guardian Australia has announced a project that aims to boost its state news coverage in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, which has been made possible due to its Google News Showcase deal announced earlier this year.

As part of the project, Guardian Australia will hire a state correspondent and state reporter in each of the three locations, as well as editorial and support staff. Recruitment for the positions commences today, 6 October.
