Gumgum appoints Tim Manton to lead NSW and QLD sales
Gumgum has appointed Tim Manton as sales director for New South Wales and Queensland.

The announcement:
GumGum, the contextual-first technology leader transforming digital advertising, has appointed Tim Manton as sales director for New South Wales and Queensland, strengthening its leadership team across two key Australian markets.
In his new role, Manton will lead GumGum’s NSW and QLD sales teams, with responsibility for talent development, revenue growth, and deepening partnerships with agencies and clients. He will play a central role in scaling the business locally as demand continues to grow for attention-driven advertising solutions.
With over 13 years in the media and advertising industry, Manton brings a wealth of experience across the Australian media and advertising landscape, spanning video, audio, digital publishing and MarTech. His appointment follows a successful tenure at Seven West Media, where he served as group business director, managing a $200M+ portfolio and driving growth through major omni-channel partnerships. Previously, Manton held roles at Paramount, SCA, and Nine, where he built strong relationships across major agency holding groups and independent agencies.
“At GumGum, the opportunity is massive,” said Manton. “My focus is on backing our high-performing sales teams across New South Wales and Queensland and making sure we’re set up to deliver real value for agency and client partners. I’m a big believer in leading from the front, so I’ll be taking a player-coach approach to ensure our strategy translates into results on the ground as we scale into 2026,” he added.
Manton will be working closely with GumGum Australia’s managing director Matt Coote, to translate national objectives into strong local wins. He will also collaborate with the customer success and engineering teams to ensure market insights continue to inform product development, while aligning with global leadership to embed GumGum’s mindset-based approach locally.
“Tim brings a strong combination of commercial leadership, deep market experience and a people-first management style. His background across major publishers and his collaborative approach make him a great addition to the team as we continue to grow GumGum’s presence in Australia,” Coote said.
Manton’s initial priorities include scaling the NSW and QLD teams, taking a ‘listen-first’ approach with agency partners, and replicating successful strategies from other Australian markets.
