Hamish Macdonald confirmed to host ABC’s Q&A in 2020
Journalist and current co-host of Ten’s The Project, Hamish Macdonald, has been confirmed as the host of the ABC’s panel program Q&A for 2020.
Media speculation has been rife about who would replace long-serving host Tony Jones, with Macdonald’s name, along with Sky News’ David Speers, frequently being bandied about.
Speers is leaving Sky News next year to fill the void left by Barrie Cassidy on the ABC’s Insiders program.
And Macdonald has now been confirmed as the 2020 Q&A host, at the ABC’s Celebrate event this afternoon.
I had to check my calendar. It’s not April Fools Day
So what
Still not compelling me to to watch this mess of a program. You get a more balanced view on SKY, and that’s saying something.
A funny joke on a friday afternoon
Surely they aren’t serious
Great news, well done ABC. Hamish is a brilliant broadcaster and is more than deserving of this role. Looking forward to seeing him nail Q&A, as he does all his ventures
… you can’t know much about him.
Not sure what direction qanda is going with this appointment. Replacing TJ after many years as host is a high risk on Hamish. And a higher risk that qanda may not last beyond 2020.
Just an observation
