Heineken claims Aussie first with Rugby World Cup app
Heineken has launched an iPhone app that allows rugby fans to kick the same goals, under the same weather conditions, at the same time as the players on the pitch during a game using live data feeds.
Called the Heineken Rugby Clubhouse, the app was developed by Holler Sydney for the Rugby World Cup 2011, which the beer brand is sponsoring.
The app, which is available on iTunes, is believed to be a first in Australia and New Zealand.
Very addictive. Can’t wait to try it during a game.
Addictive but waaaaay too easy
Awesome! Although i can’t get past 66…
When will Europeans get that rugby isnt just about kicking penalty goals?
Oh God, this is ridiculously addictive.
Another great app from the Holler gang.
Looking forward to seeing the interaction when the RWC starts.
when will anonymous get that mumbrella is just about media and stuff
Not sure playing an iPhone App is going to be top of my priorities during a game!!! More likely to be drinking their beer than playing their game!
great idea and tech…
