Hit and run penguins
Note to Optus: If your ad features penguins driving a car, it may not be ideal for the ad to run as preroll on a video story about human body parts being run over.
Particularly not when it’s turbo-charged.
Just a thought.

Only a penguin would turbo-charge a Cadillac, Tim.
News also served me up a preroll of Govt ad on the dangers of STDs before a Charlie Sheen video….
Hi Tim, just to set this one straight – Optus apologies for any offence the placement of this ad may have caused. It was an automated random placement and we have asked news.com.au to ensure that this advertisement does not run as a pre-roll to this story again.
Cheers,

How do we know the penguins didn’t do it?
Perhaps a cheeky outline of the flaws of mass or ‘performance’ media. Or lazy media planning of a non-targeted placement. Or an example of how computers are still computers?
Go Sebastian!
