How Evermore rocked the Nova party from behind the curtain
It’s lucky for Nova that the Sydney radio station is known for its love of a laugh.
Because last night’s party to celebrate the station’s new breakfast lineup of Merrick Watts, Ricky-Lee Coulter and Scott Dooley had plenty of unintended comedy.
The elaborately staged party at Carriageworks saw Nova bigwigs talk to the crowd from three different stages before a surprise performance from Melbourne-based band Evermore.
Unfortunately, when the big moment came for the band to burst into their first song, the curtain they had been hidden behind failed to drop.
“Melbourne-based” – it’s music-industry for “Kiwi”!
Maybe the should change the venue name from “Carriage Works” to “Curtains Don’t Work”.
