‘Hurts like a bitch’: Jonathan La Paglia blindsided by Survivor axing

Longtime Survivor host Jonathan La Paglia will leave the show after the forthcoming season, after being dumped by Network Ten via phone.

La Paglia revealed in an Instagram post he was dumped from the show after 9 years during a phone call from the network telling him they are “going in a different direction” with the 2026 season.

“Australian Survivor has seen some of the most epic blindsides over the last 10 years, but this one might just be the craziest of them all….because it happened to me,” his post started.

Yes, I’m pretty certain that Network TEN will be “going in a different direction” …. down the drain.

10 great years, JLP a great Host, and a difficult but great production. If the management could do as well, they wouldn’t need to ditch JLP.
