Carlton comms chief Ian Coutts leaves after 20 years of service
The communications chief of AFL club Carlton is stepping down after two decades of service.
Ian Coutts, general manager of communications at Carlton Football Club, is taking time out to “recharge my batteries” and consider his next move, he told Mumbrella today.
“I’m not a big risk taker, so this is a massive move for me,” he said. “But if I don’t take a leap into the unknown now, I never will.”
“I want to stay in the sports world. That’s what I know. But I’m not ruling out a move into the traditional corporate world,” he said. “Having lived through the toughest 10 years of the club’s history, I think I’m well equipped to tackle most challenges.”
